Oct. 2025: Production Update

What an amazing season 2025 was! Our production team did a fantastic job creating new content for our 2025 shows! Thank you to our choreographers and production team for making everything possible. Looking back at the season, we tried a few new things:
Versus only playing themed shows on the weekends, we played a different theme show every night all summer long. This included returning shows, like The Greatest Showman, Christmas In July, and ABBA Night. It also included the addition of 16 brand new show themes, like No Lyrics Necessary, Date Night and Sci-Fi Classics. It was just a few years ago that we didn’t have 16 total theme shows, so adding 16 in a single season is well accomplished feat.
To create these themed shows, our choreographers created 102 brand new songs for the 2025 season! For perspective, they add just over 80 in 2024 and only a dozen in 2023. You know the saying “Many hands make light work?” In our case, many talented choreographers make for many new additions to the Grand Haven Musical Fountain Jukebox!
With the 2025 season over, I’ve already started working on what’s coming for 2026. From our social media stats and show attendance reports, it’s clear that fans enjoyed the nightly themed shows, so we will keep those going in 2026. With our talented group of choreographers, we will continue to bring more new music to the season to keep things exciting and on shuffle versus repeat. This does mean some favorite shows/songs will take a break in 2026, just to bring new things into rotation.
As part of our City Committee Procedure, every song played on the Grand Haven Musical Fountain must be approved by the committee. Now is the perfect time for me to work with the committee to get all new music and show ideas approved, including:
A Throwback To The 90s Show!
Oh Canada! Songs from artists that hail from our neighbors to the north.
Crooners are coming to the fountain!
Animated Movie Night show additions.
New show these that include songs about Food, The Weathers, and Cars.
2025 was a fantastic season for our production crew to work on. We are looking forward to making 2026 just as entertaining for fans, if not even more fun!
