Juneteenth (National Independence Day) is a federal holiday that honors the end of slavery in the United States, which occurred on June 19, 1865. With tonight’s playlist, I hope to honor the past, serve the present and inspire the future. I’ll be playing hit songs from influential African American and Black artists for tonight’s show.
