Our donation management partner, “Givebutter”, utilizes the world’s very best payment encryption technology and security. Payments are processed securely through the PCI compliant payments partner Stripe, which is where the funds are securely held until they are ready to be withdrawn via bank transfer. Givebutter does not touch donors’ credit card information, and every measure is taken to protect users' personal information.
We’re excited to share that Friends of the Musical Fountain has earned a Gold Seal of Transparency with Candid! Foundation Center was the largest source of information about philanthropy globally, and GuideStar was the largest source of information on U.S. nonprofit organizations. In 2019, the two organizations joined forces to become Candid, enabling them to enhance the services they offer to the millions of people who rely on them for help to make the world a better place.

100% to the Musical Fountain
Friends of the Musical Fountain has no paid staff or other overhead expenses. 100% of your donation goes toward our efforts to support, maintain, and improve the Musical Fountain. Funds go into the “Immediate Needs Fund”, the “Project Fund”, or the “Fountain Forever Fund”. The latter two funds are held in escrow at the Grand Haven Community Foundation. Excess funds will be deposited annually in the “Fountain Forever Fund”.

Maintain It
The Musical Fountain is a unique multi-million dollar high-tech attraction with highly complex systems to maintain. Although there have been numerous upgrades over the decades we are still dealing with an infrastructure and components that are decades to 60+ years old in many cases. Constant expenditures for maintenance are necessary to keep the fountain running reliably. Current projects included testing our 2300 volt motor controls center, updating the hydraulic systems, and.a new roof for the pump house, control room, and stairwell.

Always Free
Since it’s inception in 1962 the Musical Fountain has entertained audiences for free. There is no revenue to the City of Grand Haven from these shows. Two paid operators deliver each show. Please consider giving back to the Musical Fountain for the decades of enjoyment provided to all who choose to attend this wholesome family friendly free entertainment show. Your donation will help to ensure the Musical Fountain will be enjoyed by generations to come.
